Back to Blogging..

Wow I haven't posted here in almost a year. I was so excited to start blogging and I only blogged for 2 days, lol! Ah, well. Things got busy I guess. And they are busier than ever!

My bowtique is becoming a steady business. I always have orders to complete and feel like I have an actual job! This is a good thing. I feel so blessed to be able to stay home with my girls, and work from home, bringing in a little extra income. My goal is to make this work. I am no longer a Stay at Home Mom, but a Work at Home Mom.

Luckily, half of my studio, is also the girl's playroom. They can cook on their new kitchen, draw on their desk, or play with dolls while I'm working.

I even had to just buy myself a new, larger table to work on because my desk was just too small. It's like I can breathe again, with everything organized, and so much space for me to work on.

I have been working on a few new projects and will be offering completely new items in my shop that I have not announced yet. I am so anxious to announce to everyone, but I am just waiting until I have a free minute to complete some examples before I post about them. Can't wait!

Anywhoo, my girls just got over Pneumonia.. again :( Second year in a row. I don't know how it happens! But it seems they both got it, and it was just horrible. Thankfully, they're feeling a lot better now!

One room down..

I think the girl's new "shared" room is just about complete. The beds are done, we got a new dresser, and everything is in it's place. We went with a bedding set from Target called "Love and Nature." We had bought Kaya the set back in September and I still love it just as much, so we got Scarlet the quilt set. It's got owls and hedgehogs on it. So cute! I have a big thing for owls. Anything with owls, not sure why I love it so much but I do.

Scarlet is slowly learning how to climb out of her bed. There is only a tiny spot by her pillows where she can squeeze her way out. Which is a good thing, but sometimes when I take naps with her, or lay down with her, it's a project for me to get out of the bed, lol

Kaya of course is a pro at climbing to the top by now. She thinks it's so neat to sleep up there and she's been sleeping really well too.

And gotta love these toy organizers.. They hide A LOT of clutter. I'd eventually like to fill it all up with the drawers. I am an organization freak.

And my absolute favorite part of the room. The wall decal is a Chanel quote that I found on Etsy. I had been wanting to get it for a few months now and I'm so glad I gave it because it really "makes" the room. And the flower lamp.. so cool!

We got the flower lamp from Ikea over the weekend. It was my first time going there and now we're hooked! I want to go every weekend. The lamp was only $10 and the "leaf" shelf underneath (where Miss Penelope the owl is resting) was about $5 so how can you go wrong?
We saw so many cool things to go back for. DEFINITELY doing my studio in all Ikea furniture.

So one room down and 1 more to go.. then after that who knows. We want to put wood flooring into our living room, dining room, and office which I'm excited about. Less vacuuming!

Hello Hello

Well I've decided to start a blog! Now I can blog about the bowtique, my kids, my life, my on going projects, etc. I like to talk and maybe this will keep me from chewing off Zac's ear when he comes home from work every night.

So, what's going on lately with us? Nothing too exciting I suppose. No, scratch that. I am super excited to be making progress with my newest projects. We moved the girls into the same bedroom so that our extra bedroom can be made into my very own office/studio. So in the process I get to kind of re-do their room a bit with new furniture and decorations, which I've been making myself! Next step when that room is complete, I can start on my studio which I am MORE than excited about. Ah.. clean, organized.. The kitchen table is just not cutting it anymore!

So that's that! Aren't my kids silly in the tub? ;)
